About MMJAA Scheme
After the launch of PMJAY, it was felt that several families fall under the same deprivation criteria as determined for Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011, but are missing from the scheme’s inclusion. The state government has initiated a similar scheme named “Mukhya Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyan” including such left-out families. The scheme was launched by the Government of India, on 1st March 2019. Presently 8.43 lac families are covered under the scheme. The beneficiaries get all the benefits of Ayushman Bharat PMJAY. The Scheme is 100% funded by state government.
